TU-114 Compression/Injection Pressure Tester

$46.18 $56.8
TU-114 Compression/Injection Pressure Tester is a professional-grade diagnostic tool set designed to accurately measure and troubleshoot fuel injection pump pressure. This comprehensive 20-piece kit is essential for identifying drivability issues such as low fuel pressure, faulty regulators, leaking injectors, or clogged filters in gasoline engines. Equipped with a wide array of adapters, the TU-114 is a universal solution for most modern vehicle fuel systems, making it a “must-have” for automotive workshops and mobile mechanics in Uganda. Key Features of TU-114 Compression/Injection Pressure Tester Precision Dual-Scale Gauge: Features a large 90mm (3.5 inch) shockproof gauge with easy-to-read markings for both 0–140 PSI and 0–10 Bar. Safety Release Valve: Includes a built-in pressure relief valve and a long transparent drain hose to allow for the safe recovery of fuel and prevention of accidental discharge. Comprehensive Adapter Set: Includes high-quality copper and aluminum fittings (M8, M10, M12, M14) and specialized hoses for direct connection to Schrader test ports or in-line splicing. Quick-Coupling System: All components feature quick-connect fittings for fast, leak-free assembly and disassembly during testing. Universal Application: Works with most gasoline fuel injection systems on cars, trucks, and motorcycles (American, European, and Asian models). Durable Storage: Supplied in a rugged, blow-molded carrying case to keep all 20 pieces organized and protected in a busy garage environment. Technical Specifications of TU-114 Compression/Injection Pressure Tester Feature Details Model TU-114 Pressure Range 0 – 140 PSI / 0 – 10 Bar Gauge Diameter 90mm (3.5″) Material Copper Alloy, Rubber, ABS Plastic Fuel Compatibility Petrol/Gasoline (Low-pressure Diesel only) Adapter Sizes M8, M10, M12, M14 (plus various barbed fittings) Hose Length 15″ Main Hose, 8″ Extension Diagnostic Benefits Identifies Faulty Fuel Pumps: Detects if the pump is providing inconsistent flow or insufficient pressure. Tests Pressure Regulators: Checks if the regulator is holding the correct system pressure at idle and under load. Finds Clogs: Pinpoints restrictions in the fuel lines or the fuel filter. Verify System Integrity: Essential for checking for leaks in the fuel rail or injectors after service. [!IMPORTANT] The TU-114 is designed for gasoline (petrol) engines. It is not suitable for high-pressure diesel injection pumps (Common Rail) or GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) high-pressure systems. Before you begin, ensure you are in a well-ventilated area and have a Class B fire extinguisher nearby. Cool the Engine: Never perform this test on a hot engine to avoid fire if fuel spills. Relieve Fuel Pressure: Locate the fuel pump fuse or relay in your vehicle’s fuse box. With the engine running, pull the fuse/relay. The engine will stall, safely dropping the pressure in the lines. Visual Check: Inspect the TU-114 kit for any damaged O-rings or cracked hoses. Apply a light drop of oil to the O-rings for a better seal. Phase 2: Connecting the Gauge Depending on the vehicle, you will use one of two methods: Method A: Using the Service Port (Schrader Valve) Most modern cars (Toyota, Ford, GM) have a test port on the fuel rail that looks like a tire valve. Remove the plastic cap from the test port. Screw the matching TU-114 adapter (usually the 7/16-20 UNF) onto the port finger-tight. Connect the Main Gauge to the adapter using the quick-coupler. Method B: In-Line Testing (No Test Port) If there is no service port (common on older Nissan or VW models), you must splice into the fuel line. Disconnect the fuel supply line (usually before the fuel rail). Use the Tee-Adapter from the kit and the included hose clamps to connect the gauge in-between the fuel line and the rail. Phase 3: Performing the Test Re-install the Fuel Pump Fuse/Relay. Prime the System: Turn the ignition key to ‘ON’ without starting the engine. You should see the needle jump. Check for leaks immediately. Record Idle Pressure: Start the engine and let it idle. Note the PSI/Bar reading. Snap Throttle Test: Briefly rev the engine. The pressure should stay steady or increase slightly. If it drops significantly, you likely have a clogged filter or a weak pump. Residual Pressure Test: Turn the engine off and wait 5–10 minutes. If the pressure drops to zero quickly, you may have a leaking fuel injector or a faulty check valve in the pump. Phase 4: Safe Removal Depressurize: Place the end of the transparent drain hose into a fuel-safe container. Press the brass relief button on the side of the gauge to drain any remaining fuel into the container. Disconnect: Once the gauge reads zero, disconnect the coupler and adapters. Cleanup: Use a shop rag to wipe up any small spills and re-install the vehicle’s test port cap.
